FAQ

  • How far in advance should I order a custom cake?
    The earlier the better, we suggest 2-3 weeks or more.
  • What is your Refund/Exchange Policy?
    We take pride in our cakes. If you are unhappy with your order and/or purchase, immediately notify us (within 24 hours) of your concern and return your cake to us.We retain the right to judge our product quality for ourselves & determine the amount that can be credited towards a future purchase. We have a No Refund Policy.
  • What is the policy for missed or forgotten pick-ups?
    We make every attempt to contact you before we close.
  • What is your Order Cancellation Policy?
    Delicate Creations understands that plans change and we will gladly assist you in making changes to your order date and time whenever possible. We accept cancellations by phone or email(cakes@mydelicatecreations.com), 1 week before your event, you will recive 50% of your order back with in a credit. All changes must be handled directly with a representative of Delicate Creations and confirmed. Delicate Creations reserves the right to charge a cancellation fee if insufficient time is given, as stated above, due to costs incurred in the purchase, priority and preparation of the order. Charges for cancellations after the above time will be as follows: 75% of the entire order will be charged for cancellations 72 hours prior to the event and 100% of the entire order will be charged for canceling the order after that time. It is entirely up to Delicate Creations discretion, to change or otherwise offer any other options to the customer.
  • Is a deposit required when placing an order?
    We require at least half of the total as the deposit.
  • Can I order a cake in the shape of a character/figurine for a few people?
    All of your shaped cakes must have a starting serving of 25 people. There is a lot of time put into creating a custom shaped cake although you may think less cake less to decorate, it actually takes the same amount of time or even MORE time when making something small.
  • Why do you need so much notice for fondant items?
    Fondant figurines can not be done in one day. Over a course of a week or even more, the figure has to dry so more can be added to it. We can not put an unsteady fondant figurine on a cake. All completed figurines need to dry for at least two days when completely finished.
  • Are all of your cakes filled?
    Yes, all of our cakes are filled. You have a choice of one or two filling in each cake you order. We do not do cakes unfilled. We do have an option to do two thick layers of cake rather than our regular three layers, but you will be limited to one filling.
  • Do you deliver?
    Yes we do deliver. Delivery prices are based on mileage/tolls. We suggest delivery for all tier cakes.
  • Can I order online?
    We do not finalize any orders on any social networking sites. You may send photos/details to us for pricing at cakes@mydelicatecreations.com. All orders require a deposit to ensure your order is placed.
  • If I bring you a photo of a cake can you make it?
    We can not recreate cakes exactly as any photo. All cakes are works of art and each decorator is an artist, we all have our own different styles, tools, and methods of creating custom cakes. We will use any provided photos as inspiration.
  • Do you make cakes for people with allergies?
    Unfortunately, no.
  • How is a tier cake priced?
    All tier cakes are priced based on type of cake, filling, icing, decorations, structure, and toppers.
  • What is your wedding cake cancellation policy?
    Wedding deposits are non-refundable & non-transferable (Deposit is deducted from the wedding cake balance only). Any Wedding cake orders cancelled 30 days prior to your wedding date will receive only a 50% refund on any payments made. Any Wedding cake orders cancelled less than 30 days prior to your wedding date will receive NO refunds on any payments made after the deposit.
  • How long can my cake stay out for?
    Our cakes are meant to be displayed therefore they can stay at room temperature 60-70 degrees for up to 3 hours otherwise they MUST be refrigerated.
  • Do you make Styrofoam tiers to make tier cakes larger?
    Yes.
  • When do I need to pay my balance?
    If we are delivering your order must be paid in full 7-days before your delivery.
  • Do you do fondant covered cakes?
    Yes we can cover cakes in fondant & do fondant decorations.
  • How far in advance should I order a cake with fondant decorations?
    Any orders with 3D fondant decoration must be placed at least 2 week in advance during warm temperatures please allow at least 2-3 weeks.
  • Can I make changes to my cake after I order?
    You can make changes up to a week before your event date. Changes can be made by calling us. Please do not e-mail us any short notice changes, call us to ensure someone gets your message.
  • What forms of payment do you accept?
    We accept MasterCard, Visa, Discover, American Express and Cashapp. Sorry we do not accept personal checks.
  • What color fondant can I cover the cake with?
    You can do any color. If you have a specific color we suggest you bring in a swatch for us to work with. There will be an additional fee.
  • Do you put edible photos on cakes?
    Yes we can put photos on cakes & cupcakes.
  • How can I place an order?
    Our preferred method is email at cakes@mydelicatecreations.com or via our Contact Us form.
  • Should I keep my cake refrigerated?
    Yes, all cakes should be refrigerated if not being eaten with three hours of delivery.
  • Can I get a different cake for each tier of my cake?
    You may get different cakes for each tier however it will bring the final cost up and keep in mind each tier feeds a certain amount of people and may not be equal in the end.
